Hey guys! I wanna talk Crossfit today.
Joining a box is something I have been debating for a while, but it’s still has been scaring me away. I have heard so many CrossFit ladies, like Katelyn (7 Ways CrossFit Has Changed My Life) and Heather (CrossFit Myths: Debunked), that rave about how much they love the sport. Yet, I have been hesitant to join.
The things that draws me to Crossfit the most is that the workouts seem intense and FUN. Fun to me, means anything but staring at the elliptical screen for an hour. I love to push myself. I love to become better. I love to find my inner strength in times that I never thought I could do it. I believe CrossFit could do this for.
However, I am starting to train for a half marathon, and would dedicate 3 days to CrossFit, 3 to running, and a rest day. Would this be too much? I am already dedicated to running the half in May, but would love to add this to my weekly schedule. Would that still work? I want to hear from people who have been there!
Another things that draws me to joining a box is that it seems like everyone there is family. Support, motivation and healthy competition is what I seem to get from all these blogger’s posts (and even my friend’s stories!) about their boxes. That is HUGE for me. I love to be pushed, and with a community I think I could go beyond the limits I’m at now.
Is community strong in every box? Is it as helpful in achieving your fitness goals as it seems?
Price has been the ultimate factor in deciding process. CrossFit is expensive. No doubt about that. But is it worth it?
I was pointed to a Living Social Deal by Lynne (THANK YOU!!) that gives me one month of unlimited class for $50 dollars. I think I might do it, and then if I like it I can decided whether or not the extra dough each month would make a good investment for my health, happiness and fitness goals.
I also found a box that gives student deals (WOOO!!!!). 75 a month. Worth it? What do you guys think?
Crossfit veterans, newbies and everything in between, I need your help! Should I start CrossFit?
I want to hear what everyone’s gotta say.
SO give me the GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY. What’s your opinion on CrossFit? Worth it? Love it? Hate it?

Oh and by the way… is it Crossfit OR CrossFit? I have no freakin’ clue. I have now stared at the word for so long that they both look wacko to me.
