YUP. You heard correctly. I’m going to be running my VERY FIRST HALF MARATHON EVER.
On May 19th, I will run The Colfax Half Marathon in Denver, Colorado.
I’ve run races before, a handful of 5k’s, the Bolder Boulder 10k every memorial day, but this is my first attempt at running anything over 6.2.
I’m nervous, I’m excited, but most of all I am ready to finally complete a long-term goal. It’s going to be so nice to cross that finish line, to feel the accomplishment. I’m ready to show myself what I’m made of. AND I CAN’T WAIT!

I’m going to be following Hal Higdon’s novice 1 program, with a few minor changes. I’ll post my exact training schedule once I put that baby into an excel spreadsheet.
I AM SO EXCITED to begin this journey, and share it with all of you.
