Hi party people!
I’m sure most of you know of the superb yogurt brand that is Chobani. If you don’t, your missing out on some delicious eats. For realz.
Anywho. Chobani started a goal program, #10for10. Completely skipping January and February (because those months are for squares, obvi 😉 ) and starting with MARCH, some of their employees made attainable goals for each month of the remanding year. 10 goals for 10 months. 10 times to be awesome by checking off something on your personal bucket list.
Resolutions are for squares. Goals are where it’s at.
I’m here to join those at Chobani on their journey to a happy, healthier and more fulfilled life, so I’ve created some goals of my own!
I missed March, so I’m starting with April.
April: 10 double unders in a row
Since I recently joined CrossFit, double unders is something I can’t seem to get the hang of. Practice practice practice is what I plan to do! Right now I can only do two in a row. Let’s do this!
If you don’t know what a double under is, watch this video here.
May: run my first half marathon (WOOO!!!)
This is pretty self explanatory, because it’s all I’ve been talking about lately.
June: Enjoy nature.
Since the weather is going to be warm, I want to enjoy the outdooors and really take in all the nature has to offer. Including fishing, enjoying my time on the lake, hiking, or even just sitting outside with my pup. This may also include hiking my first fourteener 😉
July: two person barrel roll on the tube.
(the video is of my friend Emily & her brother!)
I’ve grown up being thrown around on a tube behind a boat every summer. I’ve been bruised, smacked around and keep coming back for more. I should’ve been born a fish in a previous life.
Isn’t that picture sweet?
August: Read a book
I’ve been trying to read the Harry Potter series, because I obviously missed out on them as a child. Where was I in 6th grade? Anyways, I tend to forget how much I love reading until I get into a really good book.
September: Take more chances
Step outside of my comfort zone.
I’ll never know if can do something until I try!
October: Learn to knit
Mostly so I can create cool things like this. And knitting is awesome.
I want to try to use mint.com to organize my money and see where the majority of it is going. I’m usually a pretty good saver, but I want to be more organized!
December: enjoy my family’s company & make time to spend with them each week.
There’s nothing more precious than the love and support of your family. I’m so blessed to be able to call my family my best friends. I love each and every one of them, and cherish every moment I have with them.
I’m CHO excited to have you all join me on my #10for10 journey this year! Feel free to share your own goals–on twitter, in the comments, or on your own blog. Here’s to a terrific year CHOfans!
