Get ready for lots of pictures!!
This weekend was BABY-FILLED! No seriously.
The majority of the weekend was spent playing the waiting game for boyfriend’s nephew. My Ian’s sister started having contractions Thursday morning so every one got really hyped up. Well…. it’s Tuesday and there is still no baby boy. The doctor said she was in some sort of pre-labor, where the woman has contractions but doesn’t progressively dilate. My uterus hurts just thinking about it.
On another baby-focused note, I hosted a baby shower for my own family on Sunday. I get to welcome my own little niece into the world at the beginning of August. I am SO excited!
Summer Kylie (the baby girl) is already a stubborn little chick.
She has our genes. She likes to move and flop and do gymnastics all day.. until her dad tries to feel. Then she is as stiff as a log. They had a 3D ultrasound and she even stuck her tongue out during it. What a little brat.
Anyways, we ate some yummy food and all chatted (I made mini cupcakes with neon pink frosting!)
The game we played was hilarious to watch! I passed out these printed sheets of paper along with a pen and gave everyone a 7 minute time limit. The objective was to figure out which “candy names” went with each description.
For example, “twins” was M&M’s!
There were some hilarious answers! If you are curious, the correct answers are below!
Then it was time for presents! Summer’s daddy is a HUGE basketball and Michael Jordan fan. Which makes it necessary for her to have little Air Jordan booties!
Some more of my favorite gifts included:
Every Colorado Girl needs a pair of UGG-like boots!
She also got a pink jogging stroller that has speakers to plug your MP3 player in. I was tempted to take it for a spin sans baby. I also let all my family members know that my future child will have that stroller even if the baby has to sleep in it at night 😉
The shower was a hit and I can’t wait to meet that little cutie in August. For now though, I have another baby to welcome into this world… if only he would hurry up!
