I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day! I know I did. Hence the title of this blog post.
The past couple of days (almost a week if we’re being honest) I’ve been indulging to the point of foolishness. I’m a firm believer in in indulging in moderation, but going out 3 nights in a row AND making late night stops to Wendy’s (followed by a greasy breakfast burrito in the morning) after drinking like a college student all night is a little excessive. Okay, very excessive.
I’ve been making excuses to go out to eat all week, help myself to seconds on ice cream and have just been not doing myself any favors in the healthy eating department.
But it was Labor Day weekend and I didn’t have work and it was Ladies Night on Thursday and $5 all you can drink Friday and…..
You get the point.
The truth is, I hardly ever go out and drink. I’m more content having a drink with friends during happy hour or walking to get samples at the Coors Tour with my boyfriend. When I do go out, it’s usually during football season (It’s upon us!!!) and it always a great time every once in a while.
**I actually read this really great guest post this week on Sarah Fit that you guys may want to check out: How many cheeseburgers did you drink this weekend. ***
Thus, this week I am SO ready to get back on track with my eating and exercise. This morning started with a CrossFit workout where I successfully completed the following sweat-inducing WOD:
4×400 meters (30 seconds rest in between)
2 minute rest
50 wall balls
5 Rounds for Time
9 Deadlifts (235/155)
18 KB swings (1/1.5)
My sweat looked like a smiley face so I snapped a pic. lolz.
Afterwards I made a COLORFUL and juicy oatmeal bowl that made my belly happy. FEED ME ALL THE FRUIT.
I could eat peaches all day. For reals.
I also went to the grocery store last night and got sweet potatoes, chicken, corn on the cob and an array of fresh veggies to make some good lunches/dinners. MMM corn on the cob.
If you have any suggestions, I’m all ears! (Get it? Corn…ears? No? Okay.)
In other news…
Another reason I’m ready to get back on board with healthy eating and workouts is because The Rock N’ Roll Half Marathon is coming up in 7 weeks….
AND I MAY BE DOING ANOTHER CROSSFIT COMP. More details to come. I’m so damn excited.
That’s all that has been going on around here! Catch ya later!
