It’s safe to say that my gym bag is like my purse. I’m too scatter-brained to remember everything simply by laying it out. Thus, I throw it all in my gym bag and I’m ready to rock after work or school.
My bag or may not have contained the oddest things– receipts, underwear (uhh?) and old wrappers. Lucky for you guys, I cleaned it out a few weeks ago when I changed over gym bags so the items aren’t exactly jaw-dropping. I always love getting little glimpses into blogger’s lives, and what better way to tell more about a blogger than by what’s in his or her purse (or gym bag?).
I received this gym bag as part of a review by Core Power. I’m freakin’ in love with it. I wasn’t required to review the bag, only the products but its amazeballs so I’m telling you about it anyways. (PS I usually hate that word, but it seems fitting right now). The bag is sturdy, features breathable, deep side pockets and even has a pocket up front. Be on the lookout next week— I’m giving one of you the chance to win one of these bags (among other things!).
Let’s see what we have here!
A nalgene water bottle — It’s safe to say that I have a buttload of these water bottles. They last for freakin’ ever and I take one everywhere I go. I’ve also been known to hoard old 32 ounce Gatoraide bottles for refilling. Hey, they are big and I don’t feel bad if I lose one. BOOM.
Reebok Nano 2.o’s —I’m a weirdo and don’t like wearing my nano’s to the gym, so I change into them when I get there. Hey, I spent a pretty penny on them and would like to keep them in tip-top shape!
An empty deodorant stick — Which reminds me that it’s probably time to go to the store and get a new stick. I’ve been using Ian’s deodorant lately and should probably go get my own so I stop smelling like “cool silver” (how is silver even a scent, Dove Men?).
Mango Strawberry Spark — As you know, I’m doing the 24-day challenge and Spark is my go-to pre-workout (along with Catalyst). Hint: The mango strawberry tastes like heaven in a powdery, scoop able drink. The watermelon is gross. TRUST ME.
Fancy pink blender bottle — I received this as a white elephant Christmas gift (Ha! Jokes on you… I love it.). The bottle comes with two screw on compartments in the bottom to hold supplements, powders, chews, etc. It’s freakin’ sweet and I’m pretty sure I started drinking protein shakes on a regular basis just so I could use it. It came in a pack of two and is from Costco. You’re welcome.
Protein powder packet — I’ve gotten quite a few little sample packets of protein powders from races, monthly boxes, etc. So, I’m trying to use them all up. I mix one in my pretty new blender bottle after every workout s. Today’s flavor is Progenix’s Loco Mocha. I haven’t tried it yet, but the name makes me want to really like it. LOOOOCOOOOO.
Quest Bar & an apple — If I am caught with a grumbly stomach before a workout I’ll munch on one of the snacks that I have in my bag. Green apples are my FAV (Red and delicious apples should just go away. I hate them) and Quest Bars are super delicious. Word on the street is that they’re coming out with a cookies & cream flavor and I’m crafting a plan to buy GNC’s entire stock of them. 🙂
Jump rope — Call me the spoiled kid on the playground but I don’t like sharing my jump rope. So I keep it in my bag and bring it to class everyday. Whipping yourself raw from double unders versus rocking them out is solely dependent on whether or not you use your own jump rope. I’m sure of it.
Dirty socks — I hate hate hate sweaty socks so I change out of them. LOL. This pair is dirty. Oops.
Have a fan-flipping-tastic Thursday party people!
