Since many of you showed interest in me posting my speed workouts, I figured I’d do a weekly series where I shared them with you. After all, I aim to please!
If you aren’t familiar with my current workout routine, I’m doing a mixture of CrossFit, speed workouts and trail runs to train for two upcoming races. My main goal is to get fast for my half marathon in October (and hopefully PR!), so I’ve been honing in on the speed workouts. Man, are they tough! But, hopefully they will pay off!
This one is quite the doozy. My legs were jello at the end. Don’t you hate when your quads are SO sore that they sometimes just give out when you walk? It usually happens to me during front squats, but this workout had my poor leggies feelin’ it too.
My goal mile pace is around 7:00, which isn’t that fast for some of you, but for me it’s lightening speed!
In between the 600’s and the sprints, be sure to rest about 5 minutes. That way you can give the sprints your ALL! If you end up trying it, let me know! I’d love your feedback.
