We’re back! Ian and I took a week long trip down to Central America to explore the country that is Costa Rica! Honestly, we just kind of landed on this location with not much thought. We wanted somewhere warm, new and not too far away — CR it was!
I’ll be back to share more detailed stories of our stay, but for now here’s a quick peak into our little adventure!
4 plane rides
3 car rides (most included our driver crossing over onto incoming traffic on the highway)
2 cities — La Fortuna de Bagaces & Tamarindo
1 tree house in the jungle
1 beach bungalow (with an iguana that lived on our roof!)
1 poisonous snake
2 ziplines that we rode UPSIDE DOWN (and a few to we rode rightside up)
5 trips to the naturally hot river
14 servings of Gallo Pinto (we ate this dish for breakfast and dinner every day – it’s basically just beans and rice with seasoning!)
15 fried sweet plantains (by myself, I should add.)
7 howler monkeys
5 iguanas – one even lived on our roof!
25 Imperial Beers
1 handle of Guaro, most of which spilt on our hotel floor when I dropped it.
8734 mosquito bites — lots of ankle biters here!
7 blissful nights sleeps and 7 peaceful mornings
10 cups of fresh, Costa Rican coffee
1 unforgettable adventure with my best friend!
